Dear Dreamer,
"To inspire generations of dreamers to hold on to nothing, risking everything to live dangerously for Jesus Christ alone."
Dreamer, it is time to stop just dreaming. The time has come to do! That mission of mine is not about just inspiring dreamers to dream, its about inspiring dreamers to act! The time is now. Lay it down. Whatever is holding you back, drop it! What is your life without Christ? Dreamer, I do not mean to be blunt, and you may not know Christ, really know Him, but ask yourself, what is your life without Christ? Mine, I know this for certain, and I have seen the wretch that I am, is nothing. My righteousness is as filthy rags. And quite frankly, without Christ, my life is boring.
Dreamer, the time has come to lay it down. Lay down your dreams. Lay them down at the foot of the cross. Trust me, the things that God has put on your heart He will so faithfully give back when you give them to Him, and He will give them back better than they ever were before. And those dreams, Dreamer, do those. If you hold onto the world, the world will hold you back. If you cling to Christ, He will take you places you would have never dreamed of going. Dreamer, you need to know something; your dream, your dream is so much smaller than His dream. His dream, is perfect. If you will trust Him, He will show you. And then you will see why He gave you your dream, and you will see why His dream is so perfect.
So Dreamer, I'm in Austria learning to do just that, to lay it all down. I don't know why God has me here, but I do know He wants me to have fun. So I'm gonna ride bikes and climb mountains and run some and swim some and do whatever. And I'm gonna pray for this little town, Fuschl am See, and the people here who have already blessed me so much. And I will seek what God has for me. But with my seeking, I will also just live. Live a life of expectancy Dreamer, expecting God to show up, and He will. And Dreamer if you don't know Christ, I dare you to try that. Try expecting Him to show up, ask Him to, and He will. I dare you.
Now normally, at least I like to believe normally, my letters are all together and are a story or something, but this is sort of jumbled. Sorry for that, but it's stuff I guess I wanted to say and maybe I can't just properly articulate (like the sentence I just wrote). However, before I let you go, the pictures from below are from where I am staying at the moment. I found some sweet little ruins on the mountain while I was hiking Schober. Long story short, that was scary due to a bunch of ice and some angry goats that I threw a snowball at. Dreamer, if you see 5 male goats on a mountain, don't throw a snowball, they may chase you. Snow and ice that I tread through with so much precision and care on the way up I bounded down like no other on my way down running from those angry goats. What is it with me and horned animals man! Maybe I just love taunting them too much.
Anyway, fun stuff. This place is beautiful. I hope to go on a bike ride this weekend to some more of the beautiful surrounding areas. Dreamer, don't be afraid to dream. And don't be afraid to do. We let the world kill our dreams far too often just because it tells us we can't. Did God tell you you can't? Listen to Him, not lies. I'm not saying chase after some ungodly dream just because you didn't specifically hear God say you can't 'cause you weren't listening. I'm saying spend some time with Him, give Him your dreams, and when He opens doors, go for it. Back in Hawaii with one of my good friends, we parted ways to go to different parts of the world saying, "just chance 'um." Just go for it.
God bless you Dreamer,
Carter
